FIT2Run coach and runner Alison Richards ran the muddy ten-mile Budleigh Blister on Sunday (November 23).

Alison, who is an experienced runner and a coach at the FIT2Run ladies’ group in Newton Abbot, completed the course in one hour and 51 minutes.

Formerly known as the Bicton Blister, the friendly and well-organised mixed terrain trail run now starts and finishes at Budleigh Salterton cricket ground.

The event, which is organised by the Exmouth Harriers, boasts stunning views and includes parts of the south west coast path between Budleigh Salterton and Ladram Bay and a riverside section along the River Otter.

This year, for the first time, the Budleigh Blister also included a ‘lite’ five-mile route.

FIT2Run is a supportive and encouraging women’s running club that welcomes all abilities. The group meets at Newton Abbot Rec on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.45pm.
