WATTS Blake Bearne’s home win over Brixham Town on Saturday, April 11, won’t be forgotten in a hurry for multiple reasons.

Not only did the hosts rack up 10 goals at Abbrook Park but there was also a brief stoppage to proceedings following a pitch invasion from… a hedgehog.

One WBB player acted quickly, removing his shirt (and avoiding a yellow card for doing so) to help carefully return the animal to where he came from.

10-2 was the final score in favour of Wattsies with goals coming from Ryan Clarke, Jake Cuff, Cameron Gill, Ashton Sowerby, Samuel Stowell and substitute Jamie Orchard.

Cuff and Stowell contributed braces while Sowerby was the hat-trick hero on the day.

This win, a 10th of the season for WBB, has them in second at the time of writing. They are one point behind leaders Mount Gould with a game in hand on them.
