NAS Alfaresi came off of the bench to score the only goal of the game as Kingsteignton Athletic overcame Ilsington Villa in the South Devon Football League Premier.
Jack Dixon saw red for Villa at Broadpark, who now need to win all four of their games in hand to resurrect their title challenge.
Kingsteignton are now three points ahead of Ilsington in sixth and the Rams also have fixtures to catch up on.
Elsewhere in the top flight, it was a day to forget for Newton Abbot 66 on their visit to Lakeside Athletic. David Moore struck four as the Plymouth side prevailed 7-0.
With leaders The Windmill in cup action, Lakeside are now nine points behind them in second, having played two less games. Meanwhile, 66 are down in 10th with 13 points to their name.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom for Newton Abbot teams in Plymouth, Spurs reserves moving to within three points of Plymouth True Blues thanks to a 5-1 victory at Millbay Park. Spurs’ goals came courtesy of Aiden Blackie (2), Mason Joint, Jacob Wales and Matty Williams.
Buckfastleigh Rangers fell to a 2-1 defeat at Totnes & Dartington and The Windmill advanced to the next round of the George Belli Cup, beating Chudleigh Athletic by three goals to two.
On the topic of cup competitions and Bovey Tracey AFC 2nd XI won 3-0 at Newton St. Cyres in the Devon Senior Cup, Sam Barnes striking a brace and Tom Mudge adding a single.
In midweek, the Moorlanders beat local rivals Spurs thirds in the league so it was a good few days for them.
It didn’t get any better for Spurs though as they conceded four second-half goals on the way to a 7-1 defeat at the hands of Paignton Villa.
Watts Blake Bearne have extended their stay at the summit of Division One thanks to a 5-2 win away at Beesands Rovers.
Buckland Athletic 2nd XI and Liverton United were both defeated on their travels, losing to Barton Athletic and Brixham Town respectively.
On the other hand, the all-Division Two clash between East Allington United 2nd XI and Ashburton went to extra-time in the Lidstone Cup. Billy Courtier-Train, Lee Grimshaw and Ethan Hayman scored for Ashburton as they won after 120 minutes.
At Coach Road, Paignton Saints 2nd XI vs Signal Box Oak Villa also went pass the normal 90 minutes, Signal Box then turning it on to win 5-1.
It turns out that both Buckfastleigh sides were beaten by their T&D counterparts, the Division Three affair at Duckspond between the two reserve teams ending 2-3.
66 seconds moved on in the Ronald Cup thanks to a convincing 4-0 win over South Brent and in Division Three, Kingsteignton Athletic 2nd XI won 5-1 at Waldon Athletic 2nd XI and Kingskerswell were beaten by Galmpton United.
Finally, to Division Four, where Chudleigh Athletic 2nd XI and Teign Village are the two sides to beat.
Leaders Chudleigh beat Brixham Town 2nd XI 5-2 and Teign Village won by a single goal at Broadhempston.
Also winning away from home in the fifth tier were Barton Athletic 2nd XI, Kingsbridge & Kellaton United and Waldon Athletic 3rd XI.
