ANOTHER excellent maximum for Aarish Maharjan helped Brixham Sharks seal the runners-up spot in division one as they defeated third-placed Newton Abbot Owls 6-4.
NA Buzzards, already crowned champions, completed their fixtures with twelve wins out of twelve to win the division by seventeen points. Top and second in the averages Kevin Nicholls and Herbie Sage were again undefeated for the Buzzards.
A Paul Davey maximum for his NA Eagles was not enough to claim victory as they shared the points with Halwell.
The undefeated champions in the second division, Brixham Trawlers, finished off in style with a 10-0 victory over Torbay Academy 2.
NA Raptors claimed the runners-up spot with a 7-3 victory over Torbay Academy 3 but they couldn’t get the better of Alex Fialho. Earlier in the week, Alex recorded another maximum in a 6-4 defeat against clubmates Torbay Academy 2.
A superb second half of the season has seen Torbay Academy 5 climb from 7th place to the top of the third division table. They completed their campaign with two victories this week, firstly defeating clubmates Torbay Academy 4, 8-2 and then getting the better of Brixham Gulls 7-3, there were maximums for their top players Jamie McGuire, Gustaw Adamczak and Aleksandra Treder.
However, they will not finish top as Torre Spartans and NA Harriers, who play each other this week, trail them by one and three points respectively. NA Harriers’ Albie Andrews collected another maximum as the unbeaten Harriers shared the points with NA Kestrels.
NA Kites’ Fin Humphreys, Nick & James Kitchen finished the season in style with a whitewash victory over Torbay Academy 4.
Fourth division champions, Grove Tigers, completed their season with a 7-3 victory over NA Ospreys. Top of the averages, Nigel Langley, and Peter Daly with maximums for the Tigers. A Michael Freeman maximum helped Brixham Seals to a narrow 6-4 victory over Torbay Academy 7.
