Teignmouth came back from a goal down to take the three points in a competitive game at Coombe Valley on Saturday, writes Martin Jones.

Bovey showed their intent in the early stages and were quick to close their hosts down and not let them produce any flowing football.

The visitors’ physical approach upset Teigns’ rhythm and they were on the back foot for much of the first half.

No real chances were created by either side before the game exploded into life in the 32nd minute when home keeper Adam Broom raced off his line and brought down onrushing forward Jamie Orchard.

The referee pointed to the spot and Broom was duly shown a red card.
