WATTS Blake Bearne U15s enjoyed as good a season as it gets, securing Devon County Cup and League Cup honours.

The success just keeps coming for this group as they reached their third county cup final in a row and they have the silverware to show for it as well.

They came up against a very good Mount Gould side for a Friday night kick-off in front of a good crowd but WBB remained unfazed.

Man of the match Jake Cuff netted twice and was joined on the scoresheet by Charlie Oram, who struck home a perfectly placed free-kick, as their side prevailed by three goals to one. This win sees them lift the county cup for the second time.

Also deserving of a mention are Jake Stagg, Bryn Trevor, Josh Hanwell, Seb Roche, Jamie Billingham and Seb Clewer. They weren’t involved on the day of the county cup final but all played a big role for the side across the season.

Talking of the season as a whole and those lads were able to help the Yellows make it a cup double, earning the League Cup title.

WBB faced a resolute Kingsteignton Athletic at the home of Liverton United for the final and the game remained goalless throughout normal time. Goalkeeper Tom Howarth put on a fine performance when it mattered most and his side won on penalties.

Coaches Andy Moore, Paul Cuff and Jamie Howarth are pleased with what the boys have achieved over the years and are hopeful that they can carry the success on into next season. Also a huge thank you to team photographer Natasha Cuff- TashaLucy Photography.
