DAINTON Park Golf Club seniors welcomed Boringdon Park for the home leg of their Emerton Cup clash, on a sunny day.

The match was played in a competitive but friendly spirit and Dainton came out with a 4-1 win.

Whilst the return leg at Boringdon is still to be played later in May, the team have a useful lead with which to build on in the second leg.

It has also been a busy few weeks at the start of the season, with several friendly matches played.

At home, they’ve had two wins and a draw and away from Dainton; one win, three losses and one draw.

The season’s internal competitions have started and congratulations to Julian Farrell, who won the April monthly medal, with the best net score of 65.

Congratulations also to Peter Kneebone, with the best gross score of 78.
