STOVER GC club chairman Richard Pascoe was victorious in the competition for the Matthews Cup on a lovely, spring day.
There was a full field of 100 seniors out on the course in very good conditions with both a scratch cup, the Matthews Cup, and a handicap cup, the Short Cup, on the line.
Richard won the former with a tally of 36 points whilst the Short Cup went the way of Ray Utting. Ray scored 39 points and finished top of the pile via countback.
Richard was joined on the Division One podium by Adrian Hughes (35 points) and Peter Doyle (34pts) whilst Tony Parr (37pts) and Paul Johnson were Ray’s closest challengers in Division Two.
John Scott topped Division Three on 39 points, one more than Stephen Hayes and two more than John Lewis.
There were 12 twos recorded on the day. Congratulations to Richard and Ray!
