LAST year's victorious Teignmouth Golf Club ladies, winners of the 2025 Devon County Still Cup, have this weekend beaten their Cornish counterparts from Perranporth to win the prestigious Tamar Cup.
Teeing off into the teeth of a bitterly cold wind with hail & rain, seven of Teignmouth's best took on the head-to-head matchplay challenge on home ground in some style.
All seven team members beat their worthy opponents to record a resounding 7-0 victory, securing the Tamar Cup for Teignmouth and Devon.
The elated team squad, led by their experienced, non-playing manager Mandy Hall on behalf of Lady Captain Anne Steele Arnett also there in support with many of the club's loyal "pink army" & seven intrepid caddies were:
Belle Tarr (1.0), Susie Carr (1.1), Hannah Reynolds (2.2), Vicky Holloway (6.4), Lorna Elliott (8.3), Kendal Bradley (10.4) and Hannah Stevenson (12.4) all justified their impressive handicaps.
Could this clean sweep herald yet another great Teignmouth season? They hope so!
