ASHMOOR women’s 1st XI enjoyed an excellent 5-0 win over Ocean City with player of the match Tilly McEwen opening the scoring on ten minutes.

Emmy Buckman added a second and Zoe Harris scored her first-ever Ashmoor goal to make it 3-0 at halftime.

After the break, McEwen found the net twice more to earn a hat trick. The women's team currently sit in fourth place in the Petroc league. This Saturday, they will travel to face Okehampton.

Ashmoor Men's 2nd XI. 4

Duchy Men's 1st XI. 1

Ashmoor men's second team bounced back from their defeat at Exeter University to earn a well-deserved 4-1 victory against Duchy.

Dan Cowdry opened the scoring on ten minutes. Ollie Brown doubled the lead and Tyrone France made it 3-0 just before halftime.

Captain Reuben Stanley wrapped it up with a penalty corner strike, with Duchy getting a late consolation. The win moves the Ashmoor 2nd XI up to fourth.

Elsewhere the Ashmoor men's 3rds were a little understrength and were beaten 4-0 at Exeter 3s, the main damage coming from four penalty corner goals.

Meanwhile, the Ashmoor men's 4th XI played out a sporting 2-2 draw at Torbay 3s. Youngster Harry Easthope gave Ashmoor the lead. Torbay then scored either side of halftime, but the evergreen Steve Dinnie equalised with a neat penalty corner deflection to share the spoils.

This Saturday, the men's 2nd XI host Bodmin whilst the M3s travel to play Exeter 2s and the M4s are home to Ocean City 4s.
