Ilsington C of E Primary School took three Year 5&6 teams to the Dartmoor School Sport Partnership high-five netball tournament, held at Stover School.

The pupils were especially looking forward to this event as it was the first time that they had had the opportunity to wear their new kit, bought for the school by the Friends of Ilsington and Ilsington Youth Club.

A total of 19 teams from various schools took part in the tournament, with all three Ilsington teams winning a couple of matches in the first round.

Doing best were the A team, who progressed through the quarters and semis to reach the final where they lost 2-1 to Blackpool A.

Both the finalists will play again on Tuesday in the high-five netball finals against the other schools who finished winners and runners-up from their own Learning Community.
