Newton Abbot Tennis Club celebrated a successful end to a summer season that saw both ladies' and men's league teams promoted and the reintroduction of their annual club tournament.
The men's singles produced the biggest spectator interest when 49-year-old Murray Angel, watched by his mum, beat youngster James Avery 6-3, 6-4.

Club stalwart Jane Comyn was narrowly prevented from capturing a hat-trick of titles in a close mixed doubles final. FULL STORY IN OUR DIGITAL EDITION
