PLYMOUTH Albion head coach Ryan Lamb was full of praise for his side as they maintained their 100 per start to the new National League One season with a 59-12 victory over visiting Dings Crusaders.
In another dominant display, Noah Fenton was again the star act for the Devonians, the fleet-footed winger helping himself to a hat-trick of tries.
Fenton claimed the opening two scores, one of which was converted by Iwan Jenkins, before experienced prop Dan Pullinger added another to help give Albion a 19-0 lead at the break.
On the resumption, Fenton produced a stylish finish to claim his third, before Pullinger back-row forward Jarryd Hayler and skipper Huw Taylor followed him over the whitewash to put the hosts firmly in command of proceedings.
Dings did hit back with late tries from Fred Cartwright and Solomon O’Brien-Taufa, one of which was converted by Sam Berry, but it was Albion who had the final word with a late converted score from Rhys Williams.
Lamb said afterwards: “It was a really good bonus point win, I think the boys were a bit frustrated with the first half, a lot of unforced errors, but they came out after half time, the intensity was great and to get five points again is a massive plus.”
