Newton Abbot U15 Girls were the winners of a ten-team seven-a-side tournament held at Bicton College.

Newton topped a group containing Cullompton, Crediton, Newquay/Helston and Winscombe.

This success took them into a final against the best of the other quintet – Kingsbridge.

Newton won the final 26-12 in a match that was a lot closer and more competitive than the eventual scoreline suggests.
