FIT2RUN coach and experienced runner Mandi Robson was amongst those to complete the Umborne Ug 10k on Sunday, June 21, in the sunshine.
Expertly organised by the Axe Valley Runners, for this event, there was an elevation of 240m over the 10K course. It was not an easy one at all, especially in the heat, but the beauty more than made up for it!
Starting and finishing in Umborne Village Hall, three miles north of Colyton, the event includes some lanes, 75% off road and a chance to run through woods and the scenic Widworthy Eastate.
Incidentally, all proceeds from the event go to the Village Hall fund.
The marshals were very friendly and the medal a beautiful pottery one, so all in all, a good day was had.
There were no results available at the time of article submission but Mandi certainly acquitted herself well.
