HALDON Trail Runners has announced that all profits from this year's Forest Flyer race will be donated to Exeter-based cancer charity Force.

It comes after 15 members of the club took part in the Jurassic Coast 10k at Budleigh Salterton on Saturday, May 3, in support of the charity.

The club has rallied around as one member, Mimi Daniels, is going through treatment for cancer.

In the Jurassic Coast race, Matt Richards led the club home as he finished 19th overall and second male over-50 in 47.31, with Matt Havard 24th overall and third male over-50 in 49.14.

Mike Walkden was 26th in 49.28, Jonathan Armes 38th in 51.15, Ryan Davies 43rd in 51.42, Katie McCullagh 46th overall and second senior female in 51.59, Mark Harrison 49th in 52.11, Rob Coombs 58th overall and third male over-60 in 53.06, Martin Mceneny 59th in 53.11, Nick Warren 61st in 53.20, Mimi Daniels 68th in 54.15, Alice Stuckey 69th in 54.19, Sophie Harrison 93rd in 59.00, Cat Matthews 98th in 59.42 and Holly Manigan 106th in 1:00.58.

The same day, Matt Genders took on a bigger challenge not too far away. He competed in the East Devon Round - 67 miles, with 10,000ft of climb, based at Offwell near Honiton. He finished eighth in a time of 14:54.33.

On Saturday, May 10, Chris King did the Copper Trail, an 11.5-mile coast-to-coast trail run in Cornwall, from Portreath on the north coast to Devoran Quay on the south coast. He finished 14th overall and third male over-50 in 1:29.07.

On Sunday, May 11, Alice Stuckey and Val Blacklock did the Plymouth half marathon. Alice clocked a course best 1:44.55 and Val crossed the line in 1:57.49.
