TEIGNBRIDGE Trotters duo Chloe and Steve Weeks made a two-hour journey to Somerset on Thursday, August 13.

They took on the fifth race of the Yeovil Town RRC 5k series, a series which runs from April to September.

A total of 171 runners lined up for the latest instalment, with favourable conditions providing an excellent opportunity for quick times.

Steve Weeks produced a strong performance, finishing 56th overall in a time of 19:11. His run earned him fifth place in the MV50 category and marked his fastest 5K of the year, continuing a consistent season of racing.

Just two places behind, Chloe Weeks crossed the line in 58th place overall in a new personal best time of 19:18.

Her impressive run saw her finish as the fourth female overall and claim third place in the Senior Female category, adding another podium category finish to her season and demonstrating the benefits of the fast Yeovil course.
