Teignbridge Trotter Kevin Woodard smashed his personal best at the Exeter Half Marathon, on Saturday.
Two races of the same distance were held on consecutive days, with Saturday generally reserved for competitive runners with a cut-off time of two hours.
The three-lap, traffic-free flat race runs along footpaths and cycle tracks around the River Exe and Exeter Canal, making it ideal for those seeking a personal best.
Woodard was sixth overall in a time of 1.21.06, taking nine minutes off his previous best time.
Tim Pratt ran hard for 33rd in 1.27.55 while Tracy Elphick did the ladies proud, clocking 1.34.06 and 54th place, and James Ayling was 77th in 1.37.43. There were 122 finishers.
