TEN Haldon Trail Runners were in action in two races at the weekend, writes Nick Warren.

On Saturday, Jon Creedy and Simon Bunday travelled to Polzeath for the North Cornwall Endurancelife Trail events.

Jon did the marathon and crossed the line in 20th place with a time of 5:34.38. Simon took on the half marathon, finishing 106th in a time of 3:03.57, which placed him second in the male Veteran 60 category.

On Sunday, eight club members took on the multi-terrain Oh My Obelisk half marathon, which started and finished in Dawlish.

Lizzy Dyson was 14th overall and the first woman home in 1:41.07.

Matt Richards finished 36th overall and crossed the line as the third male Veteran 50 in a time of 1:49.56. Will Evans came home just behind his peer in 39th place, clocking a time of 1:52.20.

Anthea Board was the 49th finisher overall and the first female Veteran 55 in a time of 1:55.42.

Peter Heckles, taking part in his first race for the Haldon Trail Runners, finished in 53rd with 1:56.26 on the clock and Will Young came home 62nd in 2:03.03.

Also in her first race for the club, Snizhana Kuznetsova was 70th in 2:08.01 and Rob Coombs was 72nd in 2:08.34.
