THE 2022 Fifa World Cup is breaking new ground for football fans everywhere, and with the Tournament moving away from its usual summer schedule, England and Wales fans certainly won’t be feeling the high temperatures in the host nation Qatar. However, the drop in mercury won’t stop thousands of fans getting out to watch the games, so the Mid-Devon Advertiser has rounded up some of the best locations that you can watch the World Cup on the big screen in Newton Abbot, Kingsteignton and Kingskerswell.

Newton Abbot

The Jolly Farmer: The Jolly Farmer will be open and showing all matches, with free entry, food and screens inside and out.

The Richard Hopkins: For the first time, Wetherspoons pubs are planning to show the World Cup. The Richard Hopkins will be showing the games on their small screen off to the side.

The Golden Lion: A local’s favourite in the heart of the town, the Golden Lion will be showing World Cup fixtures this year

The Jolly Abbot: The Jolly Abbot will be showing the World Cup, with snacks and drink deals all round.

Sharpies: As Newton Abbot’s dedicated sports bar, Sharpies will be showing the World Cup on large flatscreens, as well as having live entertainment and serving plenty of food and drink.

The White Hart: Football fever will overtake the White Hart, showing all major games and good times guaranteed.

The Locomotive: This local’s watering hole will be showing all fixtures, with drink deals.

The Union Inn: The Union Inn will be showing the World Cup on two flat screen TVs, with a full menu of food and the ‘cheapest drinks in Newton’.

Market Gate: Market Gate will be digging out its projector for this World Cup, with a full food menu and drinks deals

The Rec: The Rec will be putting the games on for all members and their guests, with four screens and food and drink promotions throughout.

The Swan: Another locals favourite, this pub will be showing the games on their usual big screen.

The Saracen’s Head: Saracen’s will have every game on the big screen as well as several other screens dotted throughout the pub. There might be some snacks around as well.

Kingsteignton:

The Kings Arms: the Kings Arms will be showing all the games on the big screen, as well as serving delicious food throughout

The Bell: The Bell will show all games that happen within their opening hours

The Old Rydon: The Old Rydon will be showing some games, but advises you check their social media to find out which will be shown

Ten Tors Inn: It’ll be kicking off across the entire bar area at the Ten Tors Inn, showing all games live over their three big screens.

Kingskerswell:

The Highweek Inn: The Highweek in will be showing all the games on their two TV screens and also on their big screen as well.

The Sloop: The Sloop will be showing some games in a calm and family friendly setting, just check before to make sure they’re showing the one you’re after.

The Barn Owl: The Barn Owl will be showing the games in the background.
