UNBEATEN in their last three Western League games, Buckland Athletic will have been confident of securing all three points when Street FC visited The VX3 Stadium.

The league standings favoured the hosts as well as the form, not to mention the need for a win to keep Barnstaple Town at bay- Barum are hot on their heels and with games in hand.

It wasn’t to be though and in fact, Matt Cusack’s men had to come from behind twice to earn a point, who else but Ryan Bush notching both goals in a 2-2 draw.

Street opened the scoring after just a couple of minutes with Bush levelling after half an hour, only for the visitors to strike at the end of the first half as well. The in-form striker added his second in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Buckland remain fifth but their spot in the playoffs is firmly under threat by the aforementioned Barnstaple. Next up, they host Brislington FC in a must-win game.
