POLICE attended the bandstand at Newton Abbot’s Courtenay Park after a ‘fight’ was reported involving five teenagers.

Officers arrived at the scene just after 6pm on Monday to find no one was knocking seven bells out of each other.

But they did discover a couple of 15-year-olds with boxing gloves and hats in their possession.

A police spokesman said no offences were disclosed in the wake of the officers’ response.
