A HEAVY goods lorry’s cab was destroyed after being engulfed in flames on the A38 near Buckfastleigh today.

Three fire crews attended the incident on the Plymouth-bound carriageway at 10am.

The fire caused major traffic hold-ups on the busy road.

Crews from Buckfastleigh, Ashburton and Totnes arrived to find the cab well alight.

Two hosereel jets were used to extinguish the blaze.
