AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy was cut free by firefighters on Wednesday afternoon after becoming trapped in playing equipment in Buckfastleigh’s Duckspond Playing Fields.
An engine from Ashburton along with paramedics were called to the scene at around 2pm after a member of the public reported the incident.
The young child had become stuck in a ladder.
The crews released the boy using small tools before leaving him in the care of the paramedics, who assessed him after complaining of a sore hip.
