A WOMAN was slightly hurt after her Mini Cooper ploughed into a hedge on the Bovey Road at Highweek yesterday (tues).

The casualty, from Newton Abbot, was taken by ambulance to the town’s hospital for a check-up.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident which happened just after 3pm on the Newton Abbot-bound carriageway of the A382 near its junction with Ringslade Road.

The scene was clear by 4.40pm, said police.
