Fire crews attended a shout at Kingsteignton this afternoon.

Fire Control received reports of alarms sounding and smoke in the kitchen of a property at Kings Court at 2.46pm.

Control mobilised three fire appliances – two from Teignmouth and one from Paignton.

On arrival the crews confirmed the fire was out and was caused by a plastic chip pan being left on the cooker and the hob being switched on.

This was believed to have been accidental.
