A judge has ordered a fresh psychiatric report on a Kingsteignton man who has admitted raping a woman during an attack in Honiton.
Scott Wilson has admitted two counts of rape but his case at Exeter Crown Court was adjourned because a further medical report needs to be prepared.
He has been moved from Exeter Prison to a psychiatric unit and is likely to be made subject of a hospital order under the Mental Health Act when the case returns for sentence on June 5.
Wilson, aged 25, of Honeymead Road, Kingsteignton, admitted two counts of rape, possession of a knife and personal possession of amphetamine and cannabis. All the offences took place in Honiton in March 2016.
Recorder Mr Donald Tait adjourned his case and ordered that a consultant psychiatrist should be present either in person or by video link at the next hearing.
He remanded Wilson into the custody of the hospital where he is being treated.
