FIRECREWS from Ashburton and Buckfastleigh both turned out after reports of smoke in the ground floor of a domestic property in Ashburton last night (Saturday March 13).
On arriving at the North Street property just after 7pm crews discovered the cause of the smoke was a discarded cigarette in a waste bin and promptly extinguished the small conflagration using a hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera
The cause of the fire was accidental.
