A MOTORIST from Dawlish was hurt when his car collided with the central reservation in the Ideford Dip near Chudleigh late last night.

The casualty, fitted with a neck brace after the collision at 10.30pm, was taken by ambulance to Torbay Hospital for treatment.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident which closed both directions of the A380 while accident debris was cleared by highway workers.

Both carriageways were clear and open by 11.20pm.

The driver’s black Ford Focus was recovered from the scene.
