THREE fire crews tackled a blazing decontamination unit in Buckfastleigh.

Pumps from the town, together with ones from Totnes and Ashburton, attended the fire at the former Devonia Products site in Mardle Way where a metal hut was being used to decontaminate staff working on asbestos removal at the location.

A hosereel jet was used to extinguish the small fire after the alarm was raised just after midday on Wednesday.
