POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car was broken into at Buckfastleigh.
The white Hyundai was parked at Hembury Woods when the rear window was smashed and a handbag stolen from inside.
Officers were alerted that a black car had been seen driving away from the scene but it could not be located.
The white car had been parked in the main car park in the middle of the woods on the left hand side.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or saw a black car with occupants who may have been acting suspiciously.
The break-in happened at about noon on Sunday, November 20.
