FIREFIGHTERS were needed when a garden rubbish blaze spread out of control in Kingsteignton over the Easter break.

A crew from Newton Abbot used a hosereel to extinguish the flames which leapt up to damage the Coronation Road property’s external fascia and guttering.

A window was also slightly damaged during the incident which happened just after 9.30am on Monday.
