A motorist has admitted driving dangerously during an incident which led to a head on crash near Newton Abbot.

Christopher Miller, aged 48, who was living at Bovey Tracey at the time, veered into the path of a car driven by his partner on the A382 near Trago Mills.

Miller, aged 48, now of Harrowbarrow, Callington, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court.

He denied two further charges of assault which arose out of the same incident and which are not being proceeded with.

Recorder Mr Jonathan Barnes adjourned sentence until next week and ordered a stand down probation report. He released Miller on bail and imposed an interim driving ban.
