A MAN was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving while unfit through drink and drugs after a three vehicle crash in Newton Abbot yesterday afternoon (Thursday).

Emergency services were called to the accident on the A383 Newton Road, near Kingsteignton Tesco.

A police spokesperson said: ‘We received reports of a collision involving three vehicles in Newton Road, Teigngrace, Newton Abbot, at around 2.20pm.

‘Fire and ambulance services have also attended and there were no life-threatening or changing ‘injuries.

A 31-year-old man from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.

‘He remains in police custody at this time.’
