A man from Teignmouth has denied stabbing two young women in the town but admitted carrying a Stanley knife at the rugby club.
Kai Webb, aged 20, of Teignmouth, pleaded not guilty to two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court.
He admitted possessing an offensive weapon at Teignmouth Rugby Club at Bitton Park Road on the night of May 23 this year.
Judge Geoffrey Mercer, QC, adjourned the case for a further trial preparation hearing next month and remanded Webb in custody. He appeared by video link from Exeter Prison.
