POLICE were called to a popular Teignbridge country pub after a man was injured in a midnight brawl.
Officers attended the Bickley Mill pub at Stoneycombe to deal with the outburst only to find that peace had broken out. No complaints were made.
But paramedics, who also attended the incident, treated a 40-year-old man from Torquay for cuts and bruises.
He was taken by ambulance to Torbay Hospital for treatment.
Police confirmed they were called to the pub at 12.05am on Saturday amid reports of numerous people being involved in a fight.
A spokesman said no one spoken to at the pub wished to make a complaint, although one woman lost her shoes during the disturbance.
The spokesman said further inquiries were being carried out today involving the casualty.
