A MAN was punched in the face and his phone grabbed in a robbery in Teignmouth.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Police are investigating the robbery reported in Teignmouth on the evening of Sunday, February 19.

Police report: ‘The victim, a man in his late teens, was walking down Woodway Road towards Dawlish Road at approximately 8pm when he was approached by a man asking if he had seen his dog.

‘When told that he hadn’t the suspect asked the victim to enter his mobile number in to his phone in case he saw the dog.

‘When the victim got the phone out of his pocket the suspect grabbed it and punched the victim in the face causing him to fall to the ground, the suspect ran away in the direction of Barnpark Road.

‘The male suspect is described as white, believed to be in his 30s, large build, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches in height, wearing a dark coloured puffer coat, dark coloured beanie hat,jogging trousers and trainers.
