FIREFIGHTERS from Newton Abbot helped clear up a 150-litre diesel spill in south Devon.
The Environment Protection Unit based at the town’s fire station was called out to deal with a tanker spillage near Blackawton outside Dartmouth on Monday evening.
They used an absorbent pack to mop up the spill caused by a hole in the tanker’s fuel tank.
The alarm was raised just before 9pm on the A3122 Halwell to Dartmouth road.
