POLICE seized drugs with a street value of up to £10,000 after raiding an address in Buckfastleigh. They struck at a property in Station Road yesterday morning (December 5) when they discovered the haul of suspected amphetamine. More than £1,000 cash was also located at the targeted address together with 50 Valium tablets.

A police spokesman said a 28-year-old man was arrested at the property in connection with the finds.

He has since been released on police bail until February 24 while further inquiries are pursued.

PC William Young said: ‘Our neighbourhood team is keen to send a clear message that drug use and the supply of drugs, particularly to young people, will not be tolerated.

‘We will continue to work with the community to crack down on this kind of criminality and welcome any information from local people that might be of interest.’
