POLICE have released an image of two men they would like to speak to in connection with an assault in Newton Abbot which happened six months ago. 

Officers are appealing for information following the June 25 assault in the Golden Square area of the town.

It left a 19-year-old man needed hospital treatment for cuts to his face and head. 

Police say they are investigating the report and have released the image of the two men they would like to speak to. 

The incident happened at about 3.15am on Sunday June 25. 

It was reported that there was an altercation involving four men. 

Police would like to identify the men pictured as they believe they may be able to assist with their enquiries.
