POLICE have issued a warning over fake Scottish bank notes after three well-dressed women were reported to be trying to pass them off.
The trio, two described as a younger woman, the other older, were said to be wearing designer-type clothing and heaving made up.
Officers say they were going around various pubs and bars on Thursday in South Devon trying to pay with the fake £50 and £20 notes.
A police spokesman said: ‘These have been described as fairly obvious copies.
‘They were seen using a white car derived van.’
Anyone with information about these women or fake bank notes, is asked to contact police by calling 999 in an emergency, 101 or through the website.
