A NINETY-one-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital after the car she was in collided with another outside Chagford.
The casualty, a passenger, suffered chest and shoulder injuries in the accident which happened on the Bovey Tracey to Moretonhampstead road at Sandsgate Cross at 2pm on Wednesday.
The A382 was closed for four hours while all three emergency services dealt with the incident.
The woman was flown by Devon Air Ambulance to Plymouth’s Derriford Hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. A second casualty in the other vehicle was taken by land ambulance to Derriford hospital for treatment to a spinal injury.
