FOUR people were rescued by firefighters after a lift jammed at the View Cafe on Teignmouth seafront yesterday.

Firefighters from the town used small tools to release the quartet just after 3pm.

Just three hours earlier a crew from the resort answered a similar 999 call involving an elderly woman trapped in a faulty lift at Douglas House in Bitton Park Road.
