POLICE have located a suspect as part of their Newton Abbot double-rape inquiries.

Officers from Avon and Somerset Police traced a man yesterday (Mon, Oct 9) as part of an extensive manhunt in the wake of the serious sex attacks on two 15-year-old girls in Courtenay Park and the grounds of Forde House.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall made contact with the suspect today – and he is now due to be interviewed at a police station on Saturday, October 14.

Police have been involved in widespread inquiries since the crimes came to light – the Courtenay Park incident between September 30 and October 1 and the Forde House matter between October 3-4.
