A BALD strategy to raise money for a children’s cancer charity was a cut above the rest last weekend.
Teignmouth funeral director Caz Denning, and her niece, Sam Campbell-Smith, ‘braved the shave’ and donated their hair – and cash – to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to children having treatment for cancer.
At Sam’s cafe, NaughTEA, last weekend, the pair awaited as hardresser Lisa prepared to get cutting.
‘It feels very strange but also very liberating’ , said Caz after the shave.
‘We are so grateful for the support we have received and of course the wonderful donations made to The Little Princess Trust. We have so far raised in excess of £1,800 with Gift Aid still to be added. Our ponytails have now been sent to the trust.’
