A £200,000 skate park opened in Decoy, Newton Abbot, on Saturday.
The concrete bowl has been created by a team of extreme sports enthusiasts and Teignbridge Council.
Combined with the improved dirt jump facility and neighbouring BMX racing track, the Decoy Extreme Sports Facility is one of a kind in the south west, and is among the first in the country to combine all three BMX disciplines at one location.
Newton Abbot mayor Cllr David Corney-Walker and Teignbridge Council chairman Cllr David Weekes attended the opening and watched Kye Forte, world champion BMX dirt jump rider, perform tricks.
Mr Forte has worked hard to see this park become a reality.
'So many people have put time, effort and money into this project, and on behalf of the Decoy BMX Dirt Jump Club I'd like to say thank you to everyone who's helped make it happen,' he said.
'The work won't stop here though.
'We'll keep working hard to maintain the new area and keep it in top quality shape, as well as continuing to look at future improvements we can make to local BMX and skate facilities.'
