POLICE are cracking down on anti-social behaviour across large parts of Teignbridge.
Around Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Chudleigh, Teign Valley and Bovey Tracey, crime figures had shown an increase.
But officers report this has been reduced ‘significantly’ over the last month following a concerted effort to tackle the issues.
Overcall reported crime in the town has dropped since April 2015 compared to the previous 12 months.
In Ashburton, it is down by 28.7 per cent, by 16.2 per cent in Buckfastleigh, reduced by 40 per cent in Chudleigh and Teign Valley and by 22.3 per cent in the Bovey Tracey area which includes Moretonhampstead, Lustleigh and Heathfield.
In Bovey Tracey, reported incidents of anti-social behaviour have come down by 31 per cent.
