POLICE have arrested a 28-year-old man in Taunton on suspicion of robbery at The Attic antiques shop, Union Street, Newton Abbot, in which cash and rings valued at nearly £13,000 were taken on Wednesday.

The man, from Newton Abbot, was arrested in Taunton last night (THURSDAY) and is currently in custody in Exeter.

A 44-year-old woman from Newton Abbot who was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to rob, has been released on police bail until December 1.
