A village church will host an exhibition of paintings and photographs this month as part of the Devon Open Studios Event.

St John’s Church in Luton will host works by artist Angie Carter-Woodwark, who is known for her vivid, atmospheric images of the English landscape.

Angie will be exhibiting her own watercolours, oils, ink drawings and photographs as well as cards and prints. Cards from two other local artists will also be on sale.

This will be the eleventh year that St John’s in Ideford has hosted exhibitions as part of the Devon Artist Network Open Studios event. During that time, sales of home-made refreshments and a prize draw to win artists’ work has raised over £9,000.

The exhibition will be open 11am and 4.30pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between September 6-21.
