MARK RICHARDSON, of Clanage Street,

I fear the honourable member of the DUP

in Knowles Hill Road has misunderstood my

letter (People in glass houses MDA/Post last

week).

I merely observed the irony of a Tory

councillor condemning Mr Corbyn’s past

dialogue with members of Sinn Fein, a party

historically linked to Republican terror

groups and the strong and stable Ms May

now in dialogue with a party historically

linked to Unionist terror groups.

I believe both the DUP and Sinn Fein

should be congratulated for proving that

since the Good Friday Agreement, jaw, jaw

is better than war, war.

As someone who walked up the Falls and

down the Shankhill in support of striking

postal workers during the 2005 Northern

Irish postal dispute I can fully appreciate the

way both communities are now working

together.

If the DUP continue to oppose harsh Tory

public service, disability, age and benefit

cuts that continue to affect the many not the

few then, who knows, maybe I could join Mr

Warne on a march up the Abbotsbury and

down the Knowles Hill.

I could even find a bowler although the

only sash my father owned was yellow/blue

(Torquay United Wembley 1991!!!)
